About Our Church
Armenian heritage. Baptist conviction. Gospel center.
Our Story
Baptist Armenian Church was founded in 1978 by a small group of Armenian families who longed for a worshiping community that combined the rich liturgical heritage of Armenian Christianity with the evangelical conviction of the Baptist tradition. From a living room of twelve, we have grown into a multi-generational congregation that worships in both Armenian and English each week.
Armenian Christian Heritage
Armenia was the first nation in history to embrace Christianity as its official faith, in 301 AD. We stand in that long line of believers — saints, martyrs, scholars, and translators — who have carried the Gospel through seventeen centuries. We honor that inheritance even as we hold without compromise to the authority of scripture and the centrality of the cross.
What We Believe
We affirm the historic Christian faith as confessed in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds, and stand in the Baptist tradition on matters of believer's baptism, the authority of scripture, the priesthood of all believers, and the autonomy of the local church. A full statement of faith is available on request.
